Healthy Food Choices

I was advised to take a look on a specific diet that was relevant to my situation. As I did my research, I learned on what I should eat more and which ones to avoid.

Navigating on the right diet can be challenging. With the growing array of food products that are labelled as “all natural”, it can sometimes be overwhelming. There are many different types of diet that can confuse us on which ones to follow: Paleo, Ketogenic, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Alkaline, Low Fat, Low Sodium. It is best to apply into practice the type of diet that is relevant to our current health situation.

In my case, I found Alkaline diet applicable.  Alkaline diet or acid ash diet balances the ph of our blood and body fluids in our body. In a nutshell, it is mainly eating more vegetables, fruits, and plant based protein. There are meats that can also be considered alkaline, but it depends on how it was sourced. Looking it up on the food chart online can be a guideline in making the smart choice.

I also apply Gluten-Free diet into practice along with alkaline diet. My goal is to maintain a balance ph in my body. Based on studies, the more acidic environment our body have, it is more likely that the cancer cells in our body can be activated.

Smoothies and Green Juices

This is one of my favorite sections at Whole Foods Market. Getting filled and nourished from sustainable foods while doing your grocery shopping.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean feeling deprived. We want to be happy from what we are taking in, and be healthy on how it affects our body. We need to choose carefully and be conscious on what type of foods we are getting. It shouldn’t be complicated, as long as we are open minded and have a desire to be healthier.
